The process of working through an assault can be incredibly stressful. While those working in emergency services and the criminal justice system are often helpful and well informed, it can help to have another person on your side. We offer advocates who will work with you through the process, communicate your needs to others, and provide an extra set of eyes and ears.

Advocates are available to:

  • Take statements or make reports to law enforcement

  • Escort survivors to medical appointments or meetings with law enforcement

  • Appear at court hearings and share reports with survivors who do not wish to attend

  • Meet with any friends or family members of survivors to inform and educate them on how to be as supportive as possible

  • Accompany survivors to any meetings with prosecutors or other attorneys

  • Assist survivors in obtaining and attending counseling services

Please contact us if you are in need of an advocate, or if you have any questions about the process.
