"'For I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds,' says the Lord." - Jeremiah 30:17
The road to recovery can be a long and daunting one.
While there are no quick fixes, there are some truths to guide you:

You Are Not Alone

Recently published statistics state 1 in 3-4 women and 1 in 6 men have been victims of some sort of sexual trauma, either as children or adults. These staggering numbers, while demonstrating how prevalent the issue is, can bring comfort and strength in numbers. There can be great healing in the empathy and camaraderie that comes with opening up about painful past experiences with others who can relate. The prevalence of the issue also has encouraged more organizations to provide counseling and support so necessary for healing. The more survivors who come forward and share their stories make it that much easier for others to follow suit.
